Cooling and Heating Units

In our country and worldwide, controlling the increasing production costs in plastic injection or extruder systems to maintain our competitiveness in the national and international markets requires the precise engineering calculation and synchronization of equipment under the right conditions. Well-designed molds are crucial for achieving the desired part shape in plastic injection and extruder systems, along with maintaining control over the flow rate and temperature of process water. Making production with the right equipment in a competitive market enhances efficiency and reduces costs.

Cooling of Molds:

For effective cooling, it’s essential to understand the material properties of the molded product, the shape of the part, and the amount of heat to be transferred. In water cooling, cooling water channels should not be too close to the mold surface to prevent thermal shocks. Conversely, if the water channels are too far, efficient heat transfer may not be achieved. Water should circulate in the channels to maximize heat transfer, and the flow rate should be sufficient to maintain the mold at the desired temperature. With T-MAX assurance, industrial cooling systems have been successfully providing the required flow rate and temperature control for 25 years. T-MAX chiller units are manufactured in Italy, offering various options.

Cooling of Hydraulic Oil:

It’s critical to note that chemical reactions start to occur in hydraulic oils above 70°C, altering the oil’s properties. Therefore, it’s recommended that hydraulic oil in injection machines does not exceed 58°C, even under the highest ambient temperatures. Excessive cooling of hydraulic oil also adversely affects production. Maintaining the hydraulic oil temperature at optimal levels is crucial for stable and efficient production. Energy efficiency during this process should also be considered. T-MAX Free cooling systems or device energy cost minimizers are designed to reduce energy costs by up to 90% in oil cooling applications. These systems are equipped with German-made fans and fan speed control units and have stainless steel or aluminum body structures, ensuring optimum performance and energy efficiency in industrial applications.
